  1. I just wanted to inform you that we visited your restaurant last night and were completely disgusted. The food was good and service was great. We decided to eat in the bar because we waited for over an hour (which was ok, there is nothing else to do in Rocky Mount) but we were seated at a table downstairs. After sitting there we ordered drinks then we decided to move. You have so many, excuse the reference, “ghetto people” in there. They were treating the waitress terribly and acting rude. One of the guys (it was a large group) joked about not paying the assigned tip. He said she was not getting anymore of his money. I know when we go out as a large group here in town is not an option to “not pay the tip”. It is a lot of work to wait on a large group of people, especially when they run you back and forth all night for the same things. Needless to say that’s not exactly my point. We have been coming there for years and the place is out dated and dirty. The bathroom (both men and womens) are just gross! We noticed most of the animal heads are gone but it is still outdated. The staff looks dreary in their white dingy dirty tops. People go to eat for atmosphere as well as the food. With the outdated decor, ghetto fabulous guests and dingy wait staff we will limit our visits. My family will be spending our weekend meals out probably at Outback or Lonestar, or go to Greenville and eat at Texas Roadhouse where the guests and staff are more lively and fun. I don’t need my kids around such examples of being rude and nasty to servers. I don’t see that other places?? I think they come there because they can get away with not tipping easier? Who knows but I just wanted to share. I was a waitress in college and made a lot of money but most importantly I loved my job because the restaurant I worked for cared about us and our appearance as well as our moral! Your staff seems depressed, who can blame them? They look, well nasty, and are treated like crap from the guests. You may want to think about a face lift. We may return in the near future to see how things are going??? Best of luck!!!

The bad thing about blogs is the only time you hear any feed back is when something went wrong. Most of the time noone likes to comment when they had a great meal only when their upset, then they comment. I know it’s upsetting when meals take an hour, but if you think about how long does it take for you to cook a meal at home? If you have something thats welldone it takes 20 to 25 minutes to cook anyway. Just think if you had to cook for 20 to 50 plus people how long would it take you to get the food done. Not saying it should have taken an hour for a meal , but if the restaurant is busy cut them a little slack. Everyone thinks food service is so easy, it’s not!! Everyone should have the experience of working in a restaurant. It is extremely stressfull!! As far as this deal for $16.99 for two steaks and a side each. It’s an awesome deal for a tasty steak and a delicious side! You can’t beat it! Give the Texas a break and give them another try!! Everyone has bad days!!

Always stop in Staunton, Va.Have always had great meals. But not so on 4/9/10. Prime rib sandwich was dry and My husband’s sizzler had only mushrooms and no peppers or onions! Our rolls came out after the entrees had been served. An unfortunate disappointment. Not sure we”ll make the effort to make that stop again and we do it a few times a year!
